Dear Blogosphere,
I suppose it's been awhile since we have posted. Nine months, actually. I could write hundreds of pages to try to catch you up on the most important thing in our lives these past nine months, but I think these pictures speak for themselves.
We had a baby the day before Thanksgiving. Eliana Marie Shipp. Six pounds five ounces. Thus began the biggest adventure of our lives.
At first, all our funny little creature wanted to do was eat, sleep, and be wrapped like a burrito.
But soon she grew big enough to smile,
to sit up and take her place as queen of the bumbo,
to root for the Cardinals,
and to play dress-up.
As for me, I finally understand why everyone was so happy for me as I barfed all day at work for ALL NINE MONTHS. I cannot imagine a more precious treasure. She smiles and all the world's darkness melts away. In short, I am in love. Suddenly, I would do anything for a chubby, bald person I only met five months ago. Thank you Ellie, for lighting up our lives!
Oh, Oh, thank you thank you. Amazing pictures... need some with the Mom. She is beautiful and looks like a very happy young lady.
