Our Summer

Wow it's been an amazing summer! Dustin and I have been so blessed with great experiences. First I got to go to San Jose and Monterey Bay and be with a great friend and surrounded by amazing wildlife (I saw dolphins at the beach and stood in the water with them only like 100 feet away!), we went to St. Louis and met my new nephew (who I love uncontrollably!), went to Utah for Tyler's wedding (very nice, and we saw old BYU friends!), got a visit from Dustin's mom Beth (such a good time! We went camping!), went on a paleontological dig (I found the wing of an extinct bird and watched them excavate a mastadon vertebrae!), went to Washington D.C. (and Scranton, PA) for our friends' wedding (and saw giant pandas at the zoo!), I was a leader at Girl's Camp (gosh I love those first year girls!), I went to Canada for my friend Krista's wedding (and got to feed and pet a beluga whale at marine land!), had some BYU friends stay with me for a week (yay church history sites and hilarious games of catchphrase!), I became an official docent for the Seneca Park Zoo (love it!), and I turned 25 (I didn't think you were allowed to have this much fun as a grown-up!). I think my preschool job hates me for taking so many days off, but it was so worth it!
And now it's back to business ("let's get down to brass tacks!" "I didn't bring any, I dwove"). I just registered for classes at 3 different universities, plus I'm finishing up Independent Study at a 4th and I'm working preschool and need to keep up my docent hours. I'm pretty nervous about the new semester (I'm taking Organic Chemistry), but it's also exciting to have something new. I just feel so blessed to have so many adventures and a wonderful husband to share them with. Speaking of Dustin, he just finished his prelim exam (hallelujah!) and can stop studying for 12 hours a day now. We find out the results in a couple weeks. Wish him luck!
So I think that's a pretty good summary of our summer, and I'll try to get some pics up too. LIke I said, I look back and I'm just overwhelmed with how blessed I've been. May adventures never cease! Onward ho!
